Hello, and welcome to His Day Wedding Fairs.
We are so excited to be kicking our journey off with so much excitement and hype around what we want to do, but before we show you what we can do, we want to share with you our why.
Firstly, allow me to introduce myself. I’m David, 31 years old and first-time engaged to my co-founder of His Day, Anna. Together, we make a great team and our different strengths make for a great partnership, both in life and in business.
Finding the right person you want to spend the rest of your life with can be a long process of failed relationships, endless swipes right or left and ones that get away. Unless, of course, you’re one of the lucky ones who meet your first and only love. Either way, when you find that person, you know.
For me, it was a long process to find Anna but once I did, I knew. Fast forward to my proposal which was elaborate and well organised, I smashed it! However, as we moved into planning the wedding - I was quickly disheartened.
As a team, we love to organise and plan together, and so we attended to a few Wedding Fairs to get ideas and build our excitement. I wanted and still want to be thoroughly involved.
As we parked up at our first ever fair I loved the vibe, got myself a drink and looked around but this is where the disheartening started. What I experienced is why we are all here today. A lot of future grooms with their future wives but no suit suppliers, no decor aimed at men, no florists offering boutonnières and only things for the bride. It also became very clear that suppliers were only keen on speaking with Anna as they must have believed she was responsible for all the planning.
After getting fed up after the third wedding fair, I decided to google if we, the grooms, had anything targeted at us and nothing came up, only more bridal, her special day spam.
So this right here is our why. We want to give the groom the resources and community to help plan the wedding, to make the wedding more inclusive, and make sure it’s His Day too.
Our wedding fairs will offer more suppliers a groom would love, a community of like-minded people sharing ideas and experience, and resources to help plan their special day with their special someone.
We will operate with inclusivity at the forefront of everything we do. With this in mind, our wedding fairs, resources and community will be inclusive and interesting to EVERYONE: men, women, non-binary, hetero, same-sex couples, anyone who's getting married or having any kind of ceremony to show they love someone ❤️
There are many exciting things in the works so join us for the ride and enjoy every second of planning your wedding!
